New Jersey Governor, James E. McGreevey (D) just announced on national television that he is a "gay American" and that he has had sexual relations with another man despite his marriage to Dina Matos McGreevey. Their first child Jacqueline Matos McGreevey was born in 2001.

I have a friend who is well plugged in to Trenton (works for a regulated industry, as it were), and she told me months ago, if not years ago, that this was Trenton's least well-kept secret.
According to CNN, he just resigned. Hmmm.
Going wild here... So do you think that Andrew Sullivan will climb out of his hammock to comment on this?
The man was on the payroll as I understand it - if that's the case, I can't imagine how McGreevey could do anything but resign.
