Wow -- really good analysis, Windrem. I hadn't thought of it in that way, butthe two options you lay out are good poles around which to center your thinking.

Of the two, I think that they will keep us on our toes and then try something really big that ultimatley doesn't work very well (that doesn't preclude large numbers of dead). Gut instinct, more than any single piece of intel, makes me believe that their planning for The Next Big Thing may be too over the top -- even with the exhaustively detailed mission planning efforts that we discovered recently.
