While I don't doubt that humans have an impact on the environment, the notion that we are the determining factor in climate change never fails to amaze me. This planet has had tremendous climate changes for millions of years. Humans and the internal combustion engine didn't have any role in the ice ages or extremely temperate climates of days gone by.
I propose a new, commonsense approach to enviro regulations. We can start by pulling the EPAs head out of the arse.
By the way, for everyone worried about global warming - I'm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and it have been in the 70s and 80s for the better part of a week. We're setting records for LOWEST temps ever recorded in August.

According to the BBC in a 6 July article this year
"They [the scientists] say that over the last century the number of sunspots rose at the same time that the Earth's climate became steadily warmer."
Read the article for a more full account of potential global warming causes. Although the authors still blame humans for part of the increase in mean global temperatures, their inclusion of the sun as a prime actor in this play seems to be closer to the truth.
