But the rest of America sleeps very well at night, thank you.
This assertion, that US Arabs feel more scared than before the 9/11 attacks, should have been balanced with the fact that the other 280M Americans are too.
I'm trying not to be silly, but the reporter sounds deadly serious, while being blind to the reality that it wasn't 19 surfers from Santa Barbara who killed 3000 people in the name of "fun, sun and waves, dude!"
I do not advocate wholesale elimination of civil rights for muslims and Arabs in the US. Just as with police searches in high risk neighborhoods that get the Left all hot and bothered, restricting your searches to the most likely suspects is common sense, the application of scientific method to an othewise uncontrollable problem.

Yep. I don't know of anyone (Muslim or Arab) who has had his head physically disconnected from his body because of his faith or ancestry. We certaintly can't say the same for land of the prophet. Does that point to a richer appreciation for other people in America or a cowardly response to events around us? Are the militants more manly than we are?
The answer likely depends on your political persuasion, but cries of "How horrid it is to be in America!" seem ridiculous in contrast to the current Middle East.
Next issue: (in fact, I may post on this later) most people in most nations can't explain with any degree of clarity where most of the lesser known nations in the world lie. Does this make them ignorant, geo-centric, racists? Why do these epithets seem to be reserved for America(ns) alone?
