The New Republicans are a broadly libertarian righty block. Why do we sound like old-fashioned, string 'em up cowboys over something that harmed no one?
According to the 9/11 Commission Report:
"'The most important failure was one of imagination,' the report says, according to news services. 'We do not believe leaders understood the gravity of the threat.'"
This sentiment is what we believe to be missing (incredibly in a post 9/11 world) from other, sometimes decent, people: the ability to imagine the worst.
