The Real Ronstadt

Why is it acceptable for a celebrity to pitch her political beliefs to you, but not for the janitor at Burger King?

This issue is not about freedom of speech -- her right to such is undeniable -- but class. It is rude and unprofessional to pitch politics while someone is paying you to work.

Would Ronstadt like it if her staff told her "I hate Michael Moore" every time they did something for her?

She would probably fire them. Just as she was fired from the casino.

Read her opinion of those who disagree with her below.

The real deal | The San Diego Union-Tribune:

"'This is an election year, and I think we're in desperate trouble and it's time for people to speak up and not pipe down. It's a real conflict for me when I go to a concert and find out somebody in the audience is a Republican or fundamental Christian. It can cloud my enjoyment. I'd rather not know."
